Yes, they cost you more interest but the montly fee is lower (usually half) of an equal 2-year loan. When starting, always go for the 5 year loans when available. (big bus line = more than 6 usefull station)
If you link a big bus line with a metro station, you would end up with too much passengers at the exchange stop no matter what you'll do. Metro should be linked with other metro, tram or small bus lines and tram should be linked to metro and bus lines. Just keep in mind that big line should be metro only. With more you'll create traffic jam for sure). If there are too much people at stops, don't buy more vehicles, increase the fares (unless you have less than 1 vehicle / 2 stops which is in my opinion the most you can make above ground. Now, some passenger should take the bus then the tram, thus giving you cash 2 times. Then, add another line of a different type from the first one (tram if you made bus, bus if you made tram) linked to the first one you made.
UTTERLY STUCK IN WALL 2 FULL
Try to avoid road full of traffic, if you buses or trams take 1h to make the little loops, they won't give you money at all. If it's a tram station, go in whatever direction please you. If it's a bus line, try not to go toward the center of the city. Make a small line (bus or tram) in any direction from this station (small = 3-4 blocks, can be one big block depending of the location). Select one point of interest like a train station.
UTTERLY STUCK IN WALL 2 DRIVERS
It would allow me to cut the number of drivers per route per passenger, and also relieve the gridlock that my system seems to be fomenting.Īny and all assistance would be appreciated!Įdit: Also, I've looked at many of the 'new player help' threads, and none of the strategies seem to work, though I may be implementing them poorly.Īs giladteller said, build smaller lines. I feel like if I could just get some higher-passenger vehicles, then the whole problem would be solved. Problems arise when the game seems to (rather arbitrarily) decide that I can't cross street x with my tracks that I have already built through woods, and thus forces selling of the track and replotting the route. I've made short and long runs with many and few stops on them, and done my best to build the tram tracks along as many routes as possible that don't lie along the streets. I've noticed bottlenecks of passengers at points where lines share a stop, but have no way of alleviating the tension. I've tried skipping 'stages' of development and going straight to the Metro, but that doesn't really assist in any meaningful way.
It seems like, no matter how many trams/buses I add, passengers line up faster than I can carry them, and not only does my money start draining quickly, but so does my reputation.
Not only did it not start logging passengers carried, the project made it so that my wages alone were higher than my combined fares. In my latest attempt, I made the tram loop from Theater > Train Station > College, having to take out a 10k loan. Even on easy mode, first campaign (Berlin) beats the snot out of me within a year. This isn't my first business sim, and yet I am getting utterly schooled.
